Institució Pública Antoni M. Alcover
The Institució Pública Antoni M. Alcover was founded in 1999 with the aim of paying tribute to and promoting the figure of Antoni Maria Alcover i Sureda, a native of Manacor. A visit to the centre allows us to understand and appreciate Alcover's work in a visual way.
Since 2010, the Alcover Institution has been based in the Can Socorrat house, an early 19th-century building located at 12 Padre Andreu Fernández Street. Once the restoration of the building was completed in 2014, the museum space occupying the first and second floors of the house was inaugurated. It also has a monographic library and an auditorium.
